We all know that this year has been a wild one. Between the
pandemic and the recent Presidential election, it has become a priority to make
sure we are healthy, and that our loved ones are practicing social distancing
and protecting themselves. When it comes down to the holiday season, this year
will look a little different. In this blog, we are going to go over some basic
tips for staying healthy this holiday
season.
2.
Ramp Up Your Immune System
You need to make sure that you are eating healthy year-round, however, it does not hurt to start now. As the holidays approach quickly, try adding in more nutrient-dense foods, such as spinach, broccoli, nuts, and fruits. Not only will you increase your vitamin intake, but you will also increase your immunity to germs. Cooking healthy dishes and making conscious health decisions is a great way to improve your overall health, and your guests', too!
3.
Set Up Sanitation Stations
Reduce the spread of germs by stocking up on hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes. By creating little sanitation stations around the house, your guests will feel encouraged to frequently disinfect their hands and surfaces nearby. On your sanitation station, include a bottle of hand sanitizer, disinfecting wipes, and extra masks for guests that may choose to wear one. Bathrooms are recommended to have hand soap and paper towels to avoid reusing the same towel for each guest. If you do not plan to have guests over, there is always an option of having a virtual get together this year!
As you can see, the holidays this year are going to be a little different. However, it is in your best interest to do what you can to stay healthy and maintain a positive outlook on the holidays this year. Your personal health and your family's health are the priority. Do what you can to ensure this year is the best it can be in the circumstances we are facing as a result of the pandemic.
